GGG Atelierhaus
In the historic GGG Atelierhaus on Froburgstrasse, six studios are offered at affordable rates to young visual artists after completing their education, helping them transition into professional life.
Each year, the GGG awards three of the six studios for a two-year lease period. The selection is made by an independent jury.
The Atelierhaus is overseen by a commission that organizes selected activities with the artists and provides ongoing guidance and support.
Call for Artist Studios
Eligible applicants are visual artists, preferably graduates of the universities in Basel, Bern, and Zurich, who received their diploma within the past two years or who will complete their diploma in the year of application. Joint applications by up to two artists sharing one studio are also permitted. In this case, both applicants must meet the jury’s criteria.
Artists enrolled in Master programs, or those continuing their studies, are not eligible to apply, as the aim of the GGG Atelierhaus is to support the transition into professional life rather than to facilitate ongoing studies.
The studios are available from October for a two-year term. The monthly rent is CHF 200, plus additional costs of CHF 180. An extension of the rental period is not possible. Studios cannot be selected freely; they are assigned by the jury. This year, Studios 1, 3, and 5 are available (see floor plans).
Applications can now be submitted online!
Application deadline: April 13, 2026
